The
ministries at Fairmilehead happen in large part because of one
thing - volunteers.
When you use your gifts
and passions to serve others, it honours God and allows our church
to thrive.
From
serving teas and coffees to delivering clothes and food to the
needy at St. Catharine’s Homeless Project. From welcoming
guests to working with children and teens, there's a place for
your unique contribution.
And
when you step up to serve, God can use you in ways you never
expected. Serving not only honours God, but also allows
great relationships to develop.
Why not consider taking the next steps to get involved and check
out our current
volunteer opportunities? Whether
it’s behind the scenes or front of house, we’d love to have you on
board.

1. Website Administrator.
Don't let the job title put you off! No special knowledge of
website design or maintenance is required although familiarity
in the normal use of a home computer would be very helpful
together with good social and communication skills.
The main duty is to keep the website up to
date by adding and deleting time sensitive information and creating or
deleting web pages as and when the need arises. Other duties include
keeping the Publicity and Communications Committee (PCC) informed of
progress including website statistics (visits, pages visited, most popular
pages etc) and to provide the website designer with any feedback from the
PCC and users of the website. Web authoring software (Microsoft Frontpage)
will be supplied and training in its use given. On-going support from the
website designer will be available by e-mail, telephone or face to face
discussion.
Outside the training period the routine
duties described above normally amount to between 10 and 15 hours per
month. There will be opportunities to help in the development and design
of the website but this work is much more time consuming and would only be
undertaken with the post-holders agreement and full understanding of what
was involved.
