  - In Times of Need -

Every so often life confounds us with problems and issues that have the potential to change our lives. It's a time for clear heads and considered decisions but its also a time when those directly involved are at their most vulnerable and unable to cope as they would like.

Fortunately family and friends often help us through these difficult times especially with practical support, advice and counsel. Help and support is also available from the ministers at FHPC and our Pastoral Care and Visitation Group.

The ministers and members of the Pastoral Care and Visitation Group are always very happy to visit those in need of advice or comfort and it's so easy to arrange (see below). Visits can be arranged at home, hospital bedside or the church according to the wishes of the people concerned.

For those in need of longer term support our Pastoral Care Group undertake visits often following the initial involvement of the ministers. The Group comprises volunteers who are ready to offer care, fellowship and pastoral support to those in the parish or congregation.

  - What We Do -

During a typical year we visit elderly and housebound members of the congregation including several in residential care. Occasionally, and where appropriate, we help transport those otherwise unable to attend services or activities. Over time, trust and friendships often develop which are valued by all concerned. In this way we ensure that those visited are remembered and remain treasured members of our Church family even although they can no longer participate in Church activities as they would wish.

 - Contact Us -

We are anxious to know about anyone in the parish or congregation who would benefit from our Pastoral Care and Visitation services. These may be people recently bereaved, coping with serious illness, in need of special medical care or feeling isolated for whatever reason.

There are several ways you can nominate yourself, a friend or relative for a visit and/or to request prayers to bring comfort in time of need. All request are confidential and treated with respect.
