 - Who Are We? -

We are an Afternoon Guild that meets at 2.30pm in the Frogstone Hall at FPC on the first and third Wednesdays of each month from October to April. We have a very varied syllabus for the coming year and warmly welcome new and existing members to our meetings.

 - What Do We Do? -

The Church of Scotland Guild has around 30,000 members and its purpose is to unite men and women in Christian fellowship and to enable them to express their faith in worship, prayer and action. Annual themes were introduced to encourage Guilds to plan their programmes more effectively. The Theme for 2011-12 is "Called to walk humbly with God"

We have a different Chairperson at each meeting and we invite speakers from our own church, from the local community and further afield to talk on interesting, topical subjects that are creative, charitable or social.

We have a very varied syllabus for the coming year.

 - How Do I Join? -

All men and women living in the parish are very welcome to join us at any point during our year and you don't have to be a member of the church.  The annual membership is £12 of which £8 goes directly to the Church of Scotland. We ask for a weekly contribution of 50p for tea and coffee. New members can simply turn up at one of our meetings but if you'd like to meet someone beforehand from the Guild just let Evelyn, our Coordinator know.  It can be a little daunting to attend a large well established gathering for the first time but once the ice is broken you'll be amongst like minded friends. We have about thirty members at present.

Visitors are most welcome at any of the meetings. If you would like further information, please contact Evelyn Couper via the Church Office.
