- What Do We Do? -
There are 8 principles of the Pilates Technique combining
eastern and western philosophies teaching you to breath with movement whilst
incorporating control, centring, precision and isolation within a flowing
movement.
Pilates is beneficial to everyone, regardless of age or
level of fitness. Benefits and full potential come with continued
practice. Benefits include:
Improvement of postural imbalances
Increased muscular strength, elasticity and flexibility
Relief of long term back problems
Improvement of co-ordination and body awareness
Improvement in fitness and muscle tone
Most of my classes are group
mat work with a maximum of 13 people. Each class normally begins with a
few gentle stretches to relax you and get you focused, then we move onto a
series of exercises designed to strengthen your core muscles. The whole
body is challenged through various movements leaving you lengthened,
energised and yet relaxed.
