There are activities to interest all ages in various parts of the website but, for the convenience of those wishing to see the full list, all the activities are brought together on this page. Most of the activities are based in the church halls where there's easy access and toilets for disabled people.

If you'd like more information or to contact the organisers of an activity (and  their details are not included on this website), just get in touch with Stewart Morris in the church office who will be able to help. [Photo; entrance to halls].

Badminton The club meets every Monday evening from 7.30 pm to 10 pm starting on the first Monday of September and finishing on the last Monday in April.
Dancing (1) Edinburgh School of Dance.
Dancing (2) School of Highland Dancing, Age 5 +.
Drama The Drama Studio meets on Tuesday afternoons teaching Drama, Singing and Dancing to young people aged 3-14 years.
FitnessChicks (Aeroba - bums legs & tums) every Thursday 8 to 9pm. For all those problem areas which exercises will shape, strengthen and tone.
Fitness League Fitness League designs fitness classes and program's to help women have fun and get fit!!  Our approach to fitness is to make it entertaining, helping you get fitter without even realising it.
Giving Regular giving is the church's lifeblood. Gift Aid increases your donations by 28%.
Guides Rainbows (age 4 - 7), Brownies (age 7 - 10) and Guides (age 10 -14).
Halls (Hire of) Information on hiring any one of the church's 5 halls including costs and booking procedure.
House Group The group meets once a fortnight on a Monday morning from 10.15 for 10.30am. There are usually around twelve members present, and we have a lively discussion on a wide range of biblical references.
Jazzercise

A typical 60-minute Jazzercise class includes a warm-up, high-energy aerobic routines, muscle-toning and cool-down stretch segment.

Monkey Music

Monkey Music introduces music to very young children (3 months - 4 years) in a way they can easily understand and enjoy.

Nursery Time is the Treasure at South Morningside Nursery.
Pilates There are 8 principles of the Pilates Technique combining eastern and western philosophies teaching you to breath with movement. Everyone can benefit regardless of age or level of fitness.
Praise Group We are a diverse bunch of singers and instrumentalists ranging in age from 10 to…..well… retired, and in musical ability from non-music readers to people with extensive musical experience.
Scottish Slimmers Run by trained and experienced Class Managers we provide inspiration, information and motivation. We teach, support and encourage you to achieve the weight losses you want.
Scouts Beavers (age 6 - 7), Cub Scouts (age 8 - 10), Scouts (age 10 - 14) and Explorer Scouts (age 14 - 18).
Study Group A long established church activity. The Study Group holds six or seven fortnightly meetings early in the year and again in the autumn. New members welcome.
Tai Chi Chuan Mind: Tai Chi helps develop a focused mind, greater self awareness and better memory. Body: Tai Chi helps to improve muscle tone, flexibility and balance. Regular practitioners report improved joint mobility and decreased pain. Spirit: deep breathing exercises and the meditative quality of the Tai Chi Forms help us find a sense of peace, an inner calm.
Toddlers We are a friendly group for children up to 5 years. Mothers, Dads, Grandparents, Nannies and Childminders are sure of a warm welcome.
Tumble Tots The aim of our programme is to develop pre school children's physical skills of agility, balance, co-ordination and climbing, through the use of brightly coloured Tumble Tots equipment. The programme is structured to develop children's positive personality traits including confidence and self-esteem.
Walking Group Up to date information on the plans and activities of the Pentland Walking Group.
Weight Watchers A class is held every Wednesday evening from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. There are currently 75 members with an amazing 90+ pounds being lost weekly.
Women's Forum Social events, speakers, outings, fund raising for charities etc. Fairmilehead Women's Forum has been established for over thirty years and still going strong.
Yoga Classes are held on Monday evenings and Tuesdays. Rosemary has been teaching Hatha Yoga for over 20 years in Edinburgh and is registered with the Scottish Yoga Teachers Association.
Young Church From very young children to young adults there's something of interest for all.
Zumba Dance/Fitness (1) Zumba is the latest Latin dance/fitness craze. It uses Merenge, Cumbia, Salsa, Samba and Reggaeton music and dance moves. Mondays from 4.45pm to 5.45pm and Fridays from 4pm to 5pm.
 Zumba Dance/Fitness (2) Zumba is the latest Latin dance/fitness craze. It uses Merenge, Cumbia, Salsa, Samba and Reggaeton music and dance moves. Thursdays from 8.15pm to 9.15pm.
 Zumba Dance/Fitness (3) Zumba is the latest Latin dance/fitness craze. It uses Merenge, Cumbia, Salsa, Samba and Reggaeton music and dance moves. Tuesdays at 1.00pm.
 Zumba Dance/Fitness (4) Zumba is the latest Latin dance/fitness craze. It uses Merenge, Cumbia, Salsa, Samba and Reggaeton music and dance moves. Mondays at 11.15am and Thursdays at 12.35.
 Zumba Dance/Fitness (5) Zumba is the latest Latin dance/fitness craze. It uses Merenge, Cumbia, Salsa, Samba and Reggaeton music and dance moves. Wednesdays from 9.00am to 10.00am.
