The Megasound Project

During lockdown, the Megasound Singing Project had a lot of fun together on Zoom and learnt some great songs about the ocean, finding our voice and many more. Some of the singers have also written their very own original and brilliant group song, and we've all been thinking about vocal technique and communication. It wouldn't be Megasound though without some chat, jokes, quizzes and games. One of our favourite games has been a song categories game - how many songs can you think of about the weather...?

We took a break over the summer, but are returning on Wednesdays from 22 September, 2021, in person, in Fairmilehead Parish Church. Why not give it a try? There's a warm welcome for anyone new who'd like to join us.

'The Megasound Project offers an opportunity for singers of ALL school ages to come together every Wednesday during term time, to experience for themselves the joy singing has to offer in a supportive, safe and fun environment. There are no auditions, no need to be able to read music and it is open to anyone who wants to come along and find their voice!  We sing a mix of styles of songs – so hopefully there's something to suit everyone. It is being led by Melissa Humphreys, who also directs the Buckstone Community Choir.

New people always welcome too - why not give it a try!

Any child from Primary One upwards can join us and sing together.     The times are as follows:
P4 to P7 meet from 4-4.30pm
S1 to S6 meet from 5-5.45 pm
All young people are welcome.  No church connection needed.
If you'd like your child to be part of the Project, or you'd like to know more, then please contact Val Walke
